How is this different from the domain scanner and the blacklist checker?
The domain scanner is authentication only (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX) on a 0–10 setup score. The blacklist checker is listings only. This page runs both live lookups and combines them into one 0–100 score. Use the other two when you need the full record or the full list-by-list grid.
How is this different from the deliverability self-audit?
The self-audit is a 15-point questionnaire about list quality, complaints, cadence, and monitoring. This score does not ask you anything. It only reads public DNS and blocklists. A domain can score well here and still miss the inbox if the list is bad.
How is the 0–100 score calculated?
50 points from the same authentication checks as the domain scanner (its 0–10 score × 5). 50 points from the blacklist score (that 0–100 × 0.5). A high-impact listing caps the total at 74. If Spamhaus or URIBL refuse this resolver, 100 is not available. Unknown is not treated as clean.
Is 100 a guarantee of inbox placement?
No. Gmail and Microsoft mostly use their own reputation, engagement, and complaint rates. This score answers two public questions: is authentication published, and are you listed on the DNSBLs we can query. It does not replace Google Postmaster or a seed test.
Why did a listed domain not score zero?
Because authentication and listings are different failures. A Spamhaus hit is serious and blocks an A grade, but a domain with working SPF, DKIM, and DMARC is still in better shape than one that is listed and unsigned. Fix the listing first, then keep the auth.
